U14 Camogie Féile

On a chilly evening on the gerry devlin pitch our u14 camogs took to the field for their Féile match against a well established St. John’s team.

Our girls started quickly out of the blocks with a goal from Blaithin Steele after great build up play from Aoife Roberts.
The girls fought hard and Tara Cullen got her first goal of the night after slick defending from Ailbhe Kane. A great build from Naoise McQuillan battling hard in the middle of the park allowed Dearbhaile Mcgivern to get on the score sheet.

Ciara McDonnell had a great night in nets with only one goal going passed her and great puc outs against the wind. Meabh McAtamney made sure there no easy chances for the St. John’s forwards.

Ellie Murphy battled hard up front and was unfortunate not to get on the score sheet. Lucia McGibbon fought to the end marking her player out of the game and keeping her scoreless for the whole game.
Final score 4.03 to 1.03 in favour of Naomh Éanna.

Competition for places on the team is good and have players fighting to get on every week!
These girls have come on leaps and bounds a real credit to themselves! New players are always welcome please get in touch if interested! Naomh Éanna Abu!

A chairde gael,

As you may be aware the Antrim Senior Camogie Team have reached the Liberty Insurance All Ireland Intermediate Final against Down, scheduled for 5th December 2020 at 3.45pm.

In the current circumstances no spectators are allowed to attend the game, nor are we able to have any open training sessions or press nights to promote the game. We do not want to miss the opportunity to inspire a younger generation and have decided to run a Poster Competition and ask you to encourage all of your younger members/pupils (girls and boys) to design a poster to wish the girls good luck in their final.

Our local schools could get involved

There are no restrictions on the theme; it can be a 'good luck poster', a self portrait of the young person if they were attending the game, a drawing of their favourite Antrim Senior Camogie Player or anything else they come up with.

The entries can be emailed to secretary.antrim@Camogie.ie or if you would prefer to post originals please contact me for an address.

Alternatively, originals can be provided to any member of the Antrim Executive Committee.
The closing date for entries is 2nd December 2020.

If clubs are able to collect posters we can arrange to have them picked up.

We will showcase entries on our Social Media Pages and a number of prizes will be awarded.

We hope you will get behind this and show the team that even in these strange times the entire County is behind them.
