Naomh Pól – Ulster Minor Football Tournament 2015

07/12/2015

This weekend produced the best and worst of tournament tradition, terrible weather and great memorable football games.

Saturday’s scheduled game between Naomh Éanna of Antrim and Enniskillen Gaels of Fermanagh had to be called off due to the bad weather and the pitch being pretty much water logged.

Please note this game is now refixed for Saturday the 19th Dec (throw in at 1.30pm).

As a result of this refix, the first of the semi finals will also need to be rescheduled, and is now due to take place on Sunday 27th Dec (throw in at 1.30pm).

Sundays game ended a thriller – a point win for St Eunan’s after a thrilling fightback from Slaughtneil, great point taking scores from St Eunan’s

Attached is the revised schedule for the remaining games in the tournament. Lets hope the weather is kind to us from here on.

A chairde gael,

As you may be aware the Antrim Senior Camogie Team have reached the Liberty Insurance All Ireland Intermediate Final against Down, scheduled for 5th December 2020 at 3.45pm.

In the current circumstances no spectators are allowed to attend the game, nor are we able to have any open training sessions or press nights to promote the game. We do not want to miss the opportunity to inspire a younger generation and have decided to run a Poster Competition and ask you to encourage all of your younger members/pupils (girls and boys) to design a poster to wish the girls good luck in their final.

Our local schools could get involved

There are no restrictions on the theme; it can be a 'good luck poster', a self portrait of the young person if they were attending the game, a drawing of their favourite Antrim Senior Camogie Player or anything else they come up with.

The entries can be emailed to secretary.antrim@Camogie.ie or if you would prefer to post originals please contact me for an address.

Alternatively, originals can be provided to any member of the Antrim Executive Committee.
The closing date for entries is 2nd December 2020.

If clubs are able to collect posters we can arrange to have them picked up.

We will showcase entries on our Social Media Pages and a number of prizes will be awarded.

We hope you will get behind this and show the team that even in these strange times the entire County is behind them.
