Naomh Éanna cyclists doing their 10th “Big Cycle” on Saturday 16/06/2018.
This year we are hoping to do 2 different cycles a 50 mile and 100 mile cycle both being held on the same day.
We are trying to get more Club Members and their families involved with the cyclists who cycle regularly in organised group rides on a Saturday (9.30am) and Sunday(10.30 am) morning leaving from the Bank at the bottom of the Hightown .
Anyone who would like to take part should contact Carl/Garry with their details and if they have any experience riding on main roads or just call on any of the mornings . For those new to cycling we will be doing a “Couch to 50 mile” training starting off with gentle flat cycles and finishing with the 50 miler on the 16th of June.
The sooner we have numbers the quicker we can get started. All you need is to be over 16yrs old have a bike in reasonable condition, a Helmet (not compulsory but preferred) and to be available on a Sunday morning to start which may increase to both days and maybe 1 evening during the week if the weather is good enough.
Everyone has to start somewhere, why not as a member of the Cycling Club within St Enda’s. The craic is great and a brilliant way to get fit, a lot easier than running. Anyone interested should attend a meeting in the clubhouse on Friday 04/05/2018 at 8.30pm.
