I live locally, and regularly have walked my dog up to the club, and through the fields nearby. We always respect the pitch rules of no dogs allowed. Tonight, I was told that this was not permitted and told to leave. In the spirit of good relations I left, but I have to say, I was made to feel extremely unwelcome, and having been invited previously to use the facility, I am unlikely to return.

How simple would it have been to explain that there had been anti-social activity, and that while people are encouraged to use the facility, a relaxing walk is not one of them.

Please note of late Anti Social elements have been using club car park and pitches late at night, to date their has been some minor damage , but we do not want this getting out of control , can last person leaving the club late at night make sure main gates are closed and padlocked.

The club's main gates will be closed at 10.00pm Mon -Thurs, and by Bar Staff Fri-Sunday.

I would ask members, especially those who live local to keep an eye on the club over the coming months, if out and about, please nip up to the club to ensure site safe.

Last night at 10.45pm , i heard noise coming from clubs vicinity, when i went up to club, their was a full blown soccer match , between young Adult men and women on the Paddy Laverty pitch.

Naomh Éanna senior hurlers made it 8 wins out of 8 on Sunday evening when they defeated league leaders Tír na nÓg (Randalstown) 2-14 to 1-11.

On a lovely evening at Hightown, the Naomh Éanna hurlers where quick to start rattling over 4 points in quick succession to take a good lead and rattle the league leaders.
There was a determination to do well all over the park, and despite the absence of 3 regular starters, the whole team, subs and sideline brought the necessary intensity.

Naomh Éanna was deservedly ahead at halftime, and only for the posts, additional scores might have been registered.

The second half went the same way with Naomh Éanna getting the first scores on the board.  Tír na nÓg continued to press however it was half way through the half that a great passing move through 4 players ended with Conor Mc McSteen striking the sliotar calmly into the net.

Tír n nÓg managed to get a goal back however the Hightown gales finished strongly with a few scores of their own to comfortably win the game.

Next up is Rasharkin on Wednesday eveing at Hightown (7.30pm).  Another tough battle lies ahead so plenty of

supported needed.

Ba Maith liom mo buiochas a ghabáil do Carál Ni Chuilin(MLA) agus Paul Maskey(MP)ar eagraigh an Criuniu Oiche aréir I Lár na Cathrach.

Thought the meeting at the city hall re Casement Park Development programme was very informative and well attended.
It showed that there is a very strong passion among the clubs within County Antrim to see the Casement Park complex, which will be just short of £62,000,000 spend, built ASAP.
The meeting also debunked some of the myths circulating, and explained some of the very strong social clauses built into Grant to ensure usage by wider community, and the GAA Clubs on a daily basis.
My understanding of the meeting was as follows;
Planning was granted, but overturned via a Judicial Review based on traffic measures.
The money was part of a three stadium project; Ravenhill, Windsor and Casement; money is ring fenced for these three projects, and it can’t go anywhere else within the GAA Family.
While monies are ring fenced, there is a time limit, so if we don’t use it, we lose it.
What we as Antrim Gaels can do?
We need to put pressure via club representatives, and via county board and as standalone members of the Association, on Ulster Council to commence with consultation programme with the next few weeks.
Clubs and individuals need to inform the media that we, as Antrim Gaels, fully support the Casement Park project, which will be the main GAA Stadium in Ulster.
We as Gaels need to clearly ask all political parties, are they with us or against us; no more talking out of two sides of their mouths. We in The GAA are a huge voting bloc, let all political parties be made aware that the GAA Family support the second largest city in the country having a stadium fit for purpose for the province of Ulster. We also support the huge economic spin off for the region in building such a project.
With a fair wind Casement Stadium Hub can be completed by 2018 , this project is far more than just a stadium; it will transform the facilities available to clubs throughout Antrim and further afield for future generations of young Gaels and the wider community.

A Chairdre,

it's nearly the end of the coaching year (Sept '14/June '15) and I would really appreciate a little feedback on the full time GAA coaches some of you may have received during this period. If you had a KS1 (Ulster) and a KS2 (Antrim) coach throughout the year, could you complete a form for each coach please? See attached.

To ensure you feel comfortable giving me honest feedback, your reply will be treated as the "Club's Feedback" and your name will remain anonymous.

If possible, could you respond by Friday, 3rd of July.

I appreciate your help.

Kind regards,

Good morning everyone, its me again and I know its been a while since I tortured some of you but this is all in a good cause.

We are going to have a fundraising event on Saturday 29th August to raise much needed cash for improvements around the club. One of the main things we will be raising money for is dugouts around the pitches which don't come cheap and hopefully this event will get the ball rolling. Now this is what I need you all to do, one of the events will be Fire Walking which requires 50 people or more to sign up with a registration fee of £30. It will be up to the individual to get sponsorship and if needs be they can take their registration fee out of what they raise buts that's up to the individuals discretion. The registration fee will only be covering the cost of getting the company Firewalking International to come to the club and run the event. I am also looking to all coaches involved with minor and senior teams to get their players involved in this event. The age limit is 14 up and anyone under 18 will need parental consent but I will have those forms when registering. So I hear you all getting excited and saying how do I sign up, well I will be taking names and money on Sunday 28th June from 9.30 - 12.30pm at the club house but if you cant make it just email me.

Now go out there and spread the word and for you Conor Maxwell that should be hard as you are great at selling.

Oh one other thing, on the fundraising evening there will also be pig racing, balloon and ping ball race for the children to take part in, BBQ and much more.

See you all on Sunday 28th.

Peil na ngirseach agus camógaíocht.

Girls' football and camogie:

Last Friday, 12 June, 7 Naomh Éanna girls played on the Béal Feirste teams who took on the girls from our capital city.
Fi Morgan, Kiera Mc.Donnell, Caoimhe Finucane, Ailbhe Kane (Captain), Suibhne Gibney and Ellie Murphy played on the football team which won 1-9 to 2-3.
Dearbhaile Mc.Givern played on the camogie team which lost narrowly to the Dubs.
A brilliant day for the Naomh Éanna P7 girls, who represented Gaelsoil Éanna, St.Bernard's, Park Lodge and St.Therese with pride
A mention also for two-time winning football coach, our own Martin Sherlock.
