Naomh Éanna u10 hurlers competed in Belfast City Council’s u10 Hurling Tournament; over 10 weeks in falls park. 12 teams compete
d in the tournament which was an absolute joy to be involved in.
The young Glengorlmey Gaels showed their class as they won all but one of their 30 games finishing top if the league by quite a margin.
The boys faced stiff opposition playing 3 games every week in a highly competitive and enjoyable tournament.
Each and every one of the boys that competed done their club proud. Some of the hurling on display was simply outstanding and this group of young Gaels proved that they are not only the most sporting of participants; but they are also winners!!
Naomh Éanna lined out against some excellent teams from across the Greater Belfast area. St John’s; St Galls; Rossa; Gort na Mona; Bredagh; Ardoyne; St Paul’s; Glenavy; Sarsfields; O’Donnell’s; Pearses; St Agnes’ all fielded and also done their clubs proud.
Naomh Éanna’s squad have shown their strength; and each child should be congratulated for their commitment to training which has clearly paid off on the field.
