Glengormely u12 Hurling marked an amazing milestone in their development on Sunday the 11th October when they lined out to play in a tournament in Croke Park.
The day was designed to give the children the opportunity to play on the biggest stage; to celebrate our national games and to celebrate their participation as valued members of Naomh Éanna CLG.
The full squad of 25 boys made the journey to Dublin and they all enjoyed being in the head quarters of the GAA; benefiting from access to the museum; the pitch and changing rooms. Naomh Éanna fielded a team who played against Naomh Pól and McQuillin GAC in the blitz which was organised by the Ulster Council. Both games were exciting affairs with every player making the most of the day. Thr event was organised by Paul Doherty of the Antrim County Board in conjunction with the Ulster Council.
The support that the club received was to its usual high standard with over 70 family and club members joining in on what was a quite amazing day for the community.
Whilst the hurling and the surroundings were very important – this day was more importantly about rewarding the entire panel for their hard work and dedication as it was rounded off with a visit to Drogheda waterpark; fun and games on the bus and a belly busting feed for everyone who travelled.
The u12 management team would like to thank all of the boys and their families for their continued hard work; dedication and support.
This years presentation day will be held this Sunday (19th October) at Naomh Éanna club rooms at 1pm.
