The fixtures for Naomh Éanna first three games in division one have been released,
with a young squad and a new manager in former Antrim manager
Frank Fitzsimmons,
this year’s season promises to be an exciting one.
Frank brings a lot of energy footballing skill and experience to Naomh Éanna,
this progression and building, leads on from the committed building work of
previous manager Declan Steele, The season started early for the club with first
game against Kilcoo in Kilcoo ended with just a kick of the ball between the sides,
from the start the managements approach has allowed opportunities for everyone
and development and progress is evident already,
this group has already played three games in the Ulster League (Kilcoo, Swatragh
and Tír na nÓg Portadown) and a friendly (St Pats, Cooley) under their belts,
the progress is brilliant and the buzz of excitement from the Glenavy game at
Pairc Éanna in 2017 has continued and grown into 2018.
As well our reserve team has the fantastic opportunity to test themselves against
all the Division One reserve teams, these games, will help the current and future
development of senior level football within Naomh Éanna and with a young
growing squad, the competition for places and first team places can only serve
to keep everyone sharp and push the development, lifting the standard of football
in our club.
A Chairde Gael, it goes without saying, but needs to be said we have an exciting
season already ahead of us in Antrim Division One League and Intermediate
Championship and as ever the support from everyone in our club, schools and
community is essential to drive our teams to success.
Bígí Linn, be part of your club!
