U14 Camogie v Ahoghill
Was a great morning for a game in Ahoghill.
The girls jubilant as ever sang their way to the pitch and home again.
The game started tight and first score could have went either way but due to the perseverance of our hard worked midfield of Dearbhile and Alibhe our forwards were fed quality ball, with ever hard working captain Tara Cullen pitching in with the opening goal.
The other forwards Orfhlaith, Bronach, Aoife, Niamh, Aoife, Eimear worked tirelessly to keep the ball in attack. It was a touch of class between Dearbhile, Mairead and Tara that led to the captains second goal.
The Ahoghill girls refused to lie down getting a point of their own.
The defence held strong with Aoife Amy Aoife Katie R Naoise Niamh all worked tirelessly to keep the ball from the net of the brilliant Rebecca, no defence is complete though without a calm cool head persistently frustrating the defence with effortless hurling high fielding lifting under pressure and great distribution of the ball, that was Ciara Mc Donnell.
Dearbhile McGivern & Alibhe Kane were too reward for their efforts finding the back of the net to settle an entertaining game in Naomh Éanna’s favour.
Plenty of games to come for these girls and u12 games too in coming weeks and throughout summer, we hope the girls will continue to train hard the evidence of training is very clear to see and the more we train the more we improve.
